What We Do?

Our aim is to put the patient in control of their medical data, giving them the power to share the single, most comprehensive version of their record, with every organisation in their medical network.Fragmented, siloed patient records create inefficiencies and inaccuracies across the breadth of the healthcare system.  KryptoMeds uses blockchain technology to securely manage health records for a collaborative, smart approach to healthcare.

About us

We are a team of Four enthusiastic undergraduate students aiming to develop a decentralized web application for the pharmaceutical and Healthcare industry. We seek to apply our knowledge to provide medicinal data through secure and untampered blockchain, which is implemented with the help of ethereum smart contract. We bring together the manufacturers, retailers, sellers and transaction at each stage can be monitored.The smart contract verifies and executes the agreed terms of use of the data and transfers digital tokens as a reward to the user. The smart contract imposes double deposit collateral to ensure that all participants act honestly.

A blockchain is a decentralized online ledger (database), first implemented to store an ever-increasing record of all transactions using the cryptocurrency. This could help to make health information technology (HIT) interoperable and collaborative between different users.

Blockchain can store information in a way that is accessible to anyone on the network.When the data is saved on the blockchain, smart contracts are triggered. The Healthcare provider receives the patient's report with a hash that hides the identity. Whenever a diagnostic lab or any other healthcare provider would request to access the patient's health records, smart contracts would notify the patients.

In some cases, patients have noticed a different taste, consistency, or appearance of medicines that are later identified as being counterfeit, or they may have a different reaction to the counterfeit drug. However, in more cases, many consumers may not know that the medicines they've purchased are counterfeits. That's why it's important to purchase prescription medicine from a legitimate pharmacy.

Blockchain is not immune to hacking, but being decentralized gives blockchain a better line of defense. To alter a chain, a hacker or criminal would need control of more than half of all the computers in the same distributed ledger (it's unlikely, but possible—more on that later).
